  7. Ñ╩New playlist format
  8. ╩╩╩MacAmp now stores playlist entries in an OS-friendly way, so it can track files on a remote/removable volumes. Also added a feature to mark missing files in the playlist window. Old playlists are not compatible with this beta.

  10. Ñ╩Better MPEG file recognition
  11. ╩╩MacAmp now uses a new MPEG file recognition technique, that allows it to detect 100% all files it can play. (It is a little slower due to the internal file checking).

  14. ╩╩MacAmp now can display ID3 tags in the playlist instead of the file names. Also, basic support for ID3v2 tags is added (artist, title, album, year etc).

  54. Ñ╩Contextual menus
  55. ╩╩Player window in MacAmp now has contextual menu built in. Hold down Control and click anywhere in the window to get it.

  58. ╩╩Playlist window now displays the song time and total time. Note that total time might be invisible in some skins. Look on MacAmp site skins section for the skin updates.

  61. ╩╩You can now select the size of MacAmp cache. If you're getting "broken record" sound, try increasing it's size. Remember that when the cache size set to XL MacAmp needs about 500K more memory to prevent possible crashes when using graphics-intensive skins.

  64. ╩╩Built-in MacAmp WDEF for making non-rectangular windows; changed many Text Traits to allow greater flexibility in the skins. Refer to "Upgrading skins" document inside of Skinmakers folder for details.

  67. ╩╩You can now choose between Virtual and "hard" shuffle modes. First one behaves like in older versions - it plays songs in random order without rearranging the playlist. Second actually shuffles the playlist, and songs are played the normal way, up to down. Choose any option you like from the Preferences.
